Please be more specific with the country as laws differ between each one. That's why people keep asking you which country! England? Scotland? (etc.)
2024 wins: *must start comping again!*
  • My daughter signed a lease for September and now does not want to go back to university due to virus situation we tried reasoning with letting agent giving them plenty notice of cancellation but they won’t let us cancel where do we stand?

You should start your own thread, rather than piggybacking on someone else's which relates to different issues.

Easily answered: if your daughter signed the lease then she is bound by it's terms. If she breaks it then the LL can take legal action to enforce it. Most likely he will simply retain any deposit though.

I'm in England. Wasn't aware there was much difference. There's also no rules on people using this forum who don't understand things as well. Show some compassion. Wow. This place is full of people that really have sh*t lives. I wish you all the best. I came seeking help, not to be trolled by middle aged nobodies clinging to their online personas desperately to prove they are worth something. Go and work on yourselves.

    Take care

Wow. With an attitude like that are you sure that it isn't you that's the problem?

None of the questions asked of you were personal, it was all information that needs to be known to give you accurate advice.

The inventory check should have been checked and disputed before At initiation of tenancy

By your description of your shared accommodation I would probably choose the grotty council estate and benefits

There are people on her who spend their time and share experience with you for free which should be respected
