Assuming the service they offer is equivalent in terms of packing and unpacking and that they both have insurance I would go with the cheaper one. It is not rocket science shifting a piece of furniture. The person who does the quote probably won't be the person moving the stuff or driving the van so don't make the decision because you liked them. It is worth checking how many people there will be, three blokes will do the job more quickly than 2.0

Are they getting booked for the whole day. The cost generally increases when you have paid for 2 hours, packed up and waiting for the keys.

When in doubt, I'd go with the one that you've gotten positive feedback about that other people have used. You're right to be cautious of automatically going with the cheapest option since there are some movers out there that are pretty dodgy. I've heard stories of some of them raising their rates after your belongings are already in their possession and similarly questionable things. If you're still looking around at options, I'd recommend three men and a truck - they're a US based company I used last year and they had a good combination of affordability and positive reviews. I can't say I had any problems with them either and they're on that I'd use again if I were moving.0

Check what the reviews say, i went with a middle of the road quote and didn't have a great experience. Make sure you get picture evidence of the condition of white goods and bulky furniture with the removal lead. Ensure that you check these items at the other end before you sign the release form at the end. Our dishwasher and fridge were dented and scraped but id signed before being able to thoroughly check as I was rushed into signing.0
