Contents insurance + no claims

Options
Hi, double pronged question here.
If you get the number of no claims wrong or its inaccurate, is your policy voided if you are burglarised etc?
Does the number of no claims from previous policies count if you were renting / Co habitating with someone in the past?
I was Co habitating / renting from Feb 2012 to Aug 2014.
Then I bought a place Apr 2015 but filled out contents policy form as of it was year zero.
Do I've just finished with Halifax March 2020 and they say I have 5 years going into their policy and now 6 years no claims exiting it.. I thought 2015 to 2020 is 5 years.
So I'm going to go on the comparison sites and wondered how accurate this needs to be etc so as not to invalidate?
Thanks

Your NCD is whatever you have evidence of.  If your renewal notice says you have 6 years, then you have 6 years
