Sounds like you're desperate to get rid and not bothered about the money. In which case try WBAC or chuck it in to an auction yourself.

My son has just put his car on Facebook market place, grotty polo. Loads of interest and looks likely to shift it quickly at a good price. Put it on last evening, someone coming this morning and loads more people interested.

WBAC aren't buying - and at that end of the market, they offer less than weigh-in anyway.
Local auctions are either closed or things are going through online loopy-cheap. My local one currently has a scruffy ex-ambulance 60-plate Octavia Scout 4x4 for £375, closing in two hours.

    Thanks for all the replies.

I initially had the car up for £1.7k which was around what the average ads, sales history on Ebay shows them going for and auto trader value.
    ...
I now have it at £500. Its recently had two new tyres and alloy wheel refurb, costing me over £200.

I'm at a lost now what to do

Can you share a link to an advert?
I understand no-one is really buying at the moment unless they need to, but it seems that there's something else that might be putting people off. If they were selling for £1700 previously then I'm surprised you're not getting much interest at £500 unless it just seems too cheap.

If you just want rid of it, stick it on eBay for 99p and see what happens.

Update - car went today less than 24 hours after posting on market place, was a dealer who bought it. Both parties happy with the price. He also had a lot of reserve interest if this had fallen through.

I bought a Skoda Fabia for my daughter last month, her preference was a Polo or a Fiesta they were fairly quickly discounted because of the price above what I thought was fair value.
