I really think if people need to know how to pronounce the name they should either listen to the radio show or do their own research.

I think EVERYBODY (who enters) should listen to Planet Rock - not only because it's a great station with very entertaining presenters but because maybe then we'd get some winners who are actually going to buy guitars rather than a new knitting machine or whatever. And no I don't work for them, I've been an avid listener for over 10 years and can't get a look-in on these comps due to sites like this with people who hammer free competitions while returning no benefit to the sponsors...

I listen to planet rock - just not at the right time for the quiz. I've been a fan of rock music for over 40 years but I don't want to buy a guitar.  Don't think the desire to actually be a rock star is a prerequisite for enjoying the music or entering.

How do you know what people on here listen to? I've been listening to Planet Rock since it started, so by your logic I've got twice as much 'right' to win. 
p.s If I do win I won't be buying a guitar because I already own 16.

Exactly. It isnt difficult to find out how a name is pronounced just google Hawkwind pronounciation and you will come across this site, https://forvo.com/word/hawkwind/

You can always skip ahead to 3 hours 56 minutes if you dont want to listen to the entire show.

Ok that was a bit of a generalisation to prove a point - it's a lot more enjoyable to hear somebody win who listens to the show at least sometimes and has an affinity with the music/presenter than who evidently never has, and takes the first part of the call trying to work out which competition they have to give the answer to. Which is probably one reason why Mr Redick now expects the answer early on in the call - on the odd occasion that somebody actually picks up.

It is 45 entries for the entire duration of the competition, regardless of when you used up your 45 entry quota, you are entered into every draw.

Ok guys, calm down! I DO listen to planet rock but definitely used to much more, I just didn't catch Friday!. There was no problem when people asked pronunciation of other artists before so I don't think there is a need for so much fuss now. I appreciate the comments and posting but I didn't even know how to listen again to the show from Friday because I use my physical radio, thanks for pointing it out as now I know. Sorry for any upset
