Travel Agent Wont refund Ski Passes

Did you choose the passes you wished to purchase and ask the agent to procure them on your behalf?Limechase said:
My contract is with the agent not Vail, so I can only go to the Agent. I have no arrangement with Vail, only the travel agent who booked it? Think of it like buying bread at the supermarket, if there's a problem, would you go direct to Warburtons?Thrugelmir said:Why should the Agrent refund you? The passes are sold by Vail on a non transferable and non refundable basis. Presumably you looked into this prior to booking them.
The supermarket has the ability to reclaim the cost of the deficient goods from the supplier. Warburtons does not operate on a non refundable basis. Would soon be out of business as a bakery. Whereas Vail has the marketing appeal not to be bothered by your feelings and to stick two fingers up. That's corporate USA in a nutshell for you.0 -

The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements 2018 will be the death of some travel agents, as they haven't adapted to it.
If a person buys a ski package (hotel, flights ski passes etc) all at the same time it's classed as a "package holiday" if the flights are cancelled, then that person is due a full refund of the package, as that is a significant change.
If the TA has booked non-refundable room and non refundable passes, then it's the TA that bares the loss.

I have exactly the same problem..wonder if it’s the same travel agent?
Only difference is that I only bought ski passes from them...does this mean my only hope is through travel insurance?0 -
Did you buy the ski passes at the same time as other items, or on there own?dech56 said:I have exactly the same problem..wonder if it’s the same travel agent?

I bought them roughly the same time as other items such as flights and car hire....but they were bought directly from BA and not through the Travel Agent. Because it was a BA package, BA automatically refunded all the money very quickly as did the condo owner which was booked privately.Life__Goes__On said:

So it was just the Ski passes book with TA and nothing else?dech56 said:
