  • Ah thank you, I've nearly done it after all these years

You have to be quick with PA, I keep my tab open and as soon as I see one I pounce. I've had 3 tonight

    • Th0rtful - £4.05
    • B&Em - £6.28
    • P3ts @ H0me - £17.09
    • V0 - 75p (I haven't done one with this company for months, pleasantly surprised to find an £8.70 balance)
    Today
    • C0-op - £26.52
    • PA - £1.99
    • Onep0ll - 25p

I was intending to have an NSD yesterday and then I got to work and remembered I hadn't sent a card in the post that needed to arrive ideally by today. It was so quick and easy to pick one online and although more expensive than buying a card and stamp, it saved the day and hurrah, it arrived today. Phew!  Once I'd ruined my NSD I thought I'd call in and get a few other bits from other shops. My colleague tipped me off that P3ts @ H0me were doing an NHS discount during the pandemic, she only found out when she wore her lanyard and they took 10% off! Morris0n's have been doing a discount too which is so lovely and I've really appreciated it.

I really need to do a proper food shop, I've ran out of bigger things but I can't be bothered to go so I called in tonight to get a few things to tide me over for another few days. Maybe I'll go Friday....or Sunday

I've had the updated bill from my energy supplier and it looks like I owe them £50 which I'll happily pay so I can switch. I've just run the comparison on Ch3ap En3rgy C1ub and it looks like I can save about £14 per month but I need to double check the yearly kWh I've used is what their bill says it is! Hopefully they'll be a nice little £25 cashback further down the line too.

I sent a £3.88 overpayment to the mortgage. Feeling pretty giddy  :D

    • Youg0v - 100 pts (£1)

I've started the energy switch today so I hope that will go through without any problems. I've chosen Avr0 Energy via the Ch3ap Energy C1ub as the customer service was ok, there's no exit fee and I'll get cashback, as well as saving an estimated £12.43 a month on what I'm paying currently.

I cashed out £15.22 from PA and I've transferred it to my CHEFS account and the balance is now £472.79

I've emailed the vets and asked them to complete the last part of my insurance claim and if it goes through ok, I'll get back £45.41 which I'll put back in savings.

3 of my 6 eb@y items have sold and I think after fees, I should get about £41. I was originally going to treat myself to something, maybe a bottle of perfume but having come to my senses and realised I've treated myself too much this year, I'm going to add it to savings and it'll be used on renovations.

I reactivated my Y0ug0v account after a year away and I found 3490 pts in there so I've done a couple of surveys to get back into it and I'm now 1410 points away from £50.

I feel quite productive after all that activity!

Weirdly enough after you talking about Bulb last week I changed to Octopus as Bulb annoyed me as they wanted me to keep any credit in my account.
  • Oh that's frustrating then. I've never been in credit and my bills just keep going up so I've lost trust in them. I've heard good things about Octopus though, hopefully they'll be better deal with :)

I forgot to do my Sunday survey round up.....it was £12.31. In 5 weeks, I've earned £63.53, just from surveys!

There's not a lot going on, I'm back in work full time which is a bit of a shock to the system. I got used to working at home and saving money on petrol was great, but I'll miss spending more time with my beautiful cats.

I've got a couple of craft projects that I need to do for a birthday, I've ordered a few bits but I've got most stuff in my huge crafty stash   I will of course have to restock.

There's officially 2 jobs going in another team and I'm still debating whether to go for it not. On the way to work it was a definite no but then I heard a couple of other people are interested and it made come over all competitive, especially when I heard that one of them has been told by the manager to go for it! Well.....watch this space

Well done with surveys.  I took your advice and watched PA like a hawk and got one!
I was tokd by a manager years ago to always go for interviews. Always good experience.  Why not  go...you have the freedom to reject it if it's not for you.....
  • Ah that's great news, so satisfying when you get one. And just as I typed that, I got one would you believe

Thank you, yeah I think that's a good plan, I could probably do with interview experience actually cause I've only had 3 interviews in 17 years! Although if I did get it, I'd feel a bit awkward rejecting it then having to see the interviewers regularly :D

Don't forget you can always imply that you're considering other options....
Aren't you better than the competition?
  • Thanks Jan. Haha well yes, I'd like to think so :D
