Its expenseive for a reason. Its high risk. You'll be driving u der time pressures. You'll be driving at times that are in line with the traditional piddle heads driving. You will be dealing with them at the point of delivery so at risk of assault, damage or robbery. You'll be dealing in cash. Theres alot of risk, hence a heavy premium.0

This is the thing with takeaway delivery, if you are delivering for a run of the mill back street pizza kebab shop or chinese takeaway, etc, then you are usually responsible for insurance as it's all cash in hand. I've never known a takeaway yet that puts you on the PAYE books and pays for insurance, apart from chains like Dominoes.
Most people who do takeaway deliveries don't bother with the extra food delivery insurance as by time they have paid the extra premium it's not worth the couple of hours a week they do delivering.
I'm not saying this is recommended but this is life.0 -
andrew28 said:I have spoken to the restaurant owners and they have normal business level insurance wish is not sufficient at all. i think a lot of the little Chinese/Indian takeaways will be the same and misguided on what they need.
