double yellow is there for a reason. you should only park there in the case of emergency, life or death situation or a accident obviously. other than that only vehicles that can park there are police fire and ambulance.
    Not true.

You need to read up on what DYL really mean before posting advice, because you are wrong.
who's DYL? department of yellow lines maybe?

Have you now read what Double Yellow Lines mean?

It's important to know where you can and can't stop.  Amazes me people pass their test without knowing.

Sounds like you are thinking of something else, hence your mistake. Red lines maybe?

@OP - did you fail to see the two words, in huge lettering, directly in front of your vehicle?  You may need to consider how to explain this to a Judge should it get to a county court claim. Hopefully the PPC won't go that far.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

No excuse when there is a whole car park yards away. However im currently watching idiots do the same right now safe in the knowledge UKPC will do absolutely no parking management in their site. Jokers.

Blue Badge holders as well as long as there are no loading restrictions.

Yep, for up to three hours, plus several other perfectly lawful exempt activities that allow several minutes (as long as there's no loading restriction kerb blips, as you say).

The description that poster gave was for clearways!  Nothing like DYL.
