Evening (?) all - well have restocked the airing cupboard after having everything out, painting and an extra shelf put in and have a huge pile of stuff to do something with !!!!. Three throws, some baby balnkets and I even found two hand made nightgowns my mum made when I had DS 19 years ago.

Off to cook tea now - mexican tacos and salad. Nice and quick and easy

In fact, almost any ethnic group seems to have far less obesity than we have in the UK. I am sure it is simply using basic ingredients without massess of processing that makes a huge difference.

I had an early dinner of home made lamb burgers and salad. I have to admit it was yummy......but I could still murder kung po chilli chicken :D

Have found - when polishing - (sits down for a rest) about 36 silver threepenny pieces - do you reckon they are worth anything - could I be sitting on a gold (silver) mine?

I'd rather have Indian food but Chinese still sounds good !!!!

Well, there was a woman on Flog it (can't you tell I didn't move from the sofa) yesterday who sold her coin collection for thousands!!

didn't we go decimal in 1972 (ish)? Is it really that long since you did your housework, surfbabe??!!:rotfl:

Well actually they are in a box, which is in a box, which is in a box that DH inherited from his mum who died in 1994, - we've also got a big pottery jar full of sixpences, halfpennys and penny's - all pre decimal !!! That also came from his mum (i think - might have been an uncle though) - no-one else wanted them so we had them !!! along with a spode dinner service which would cost about £3K to replace and no-one wanted that cos it was blue pottery !!!!

Looks like you may have a good stash there!!!!...I agree with you Hypno on the obesity issue and the fact that low fat stuff is actually full of sugar instead of fat!!!!..so not very diet friendly.

I cook from scratch as well and find it cheaper and healthier and at least when cooked from scratch you know what you are eating..
