Egg have admitted their mistake and say they will correct it within 48 hours. They have also sent me something I can print off to prove it is their error, so if the job take a credit ref this week, I can back up my pleas!

Hope everything runs smooth with sorting the credit file over the next 48hrs, you and your OH certainly seem to make short work of whipping these companies into shape infact can your OH speak to them and work his magic on the compensation front like he did with HSBC...

Well, KM, as OH and I both work 3 jobs each, it is more like a 7th wage :cool:

But it is much needed because of the huge amount of minimum payments we need to make, and the even huger ski fees I found myself agreeing to pay!!

Still, it is only since I found this site, that I have been able to make this sort of extra cash - within minutes of joining up i had signed up to an olympic challenge and that provided me with loads of info for making extra money. It has just continued with the new challenges that have been appearing.

If it was not for MSE, we would just be working, and hoping we could get through!

BOBAH - I will be checking my credit file again later in the week, and there will be merry hell to pay if it has not been fixed.

I did speak to experian to ask for a note to be put on my file, but they said NO!!!

I can just see it if Egg cause you any problems, they'll have a mob of angry DFWers (headed by a woman with a chocolate-covered ferret) descending on their offices! :rotfl: Sounds like they're being OK with you though, and fingers crossed it's all alright.

I don't think Egg would dare mess me about.......a couple of years ago they wrongly sent my account to a DCA, and ended up having to pay me a good amount of lovely compensation, as well as agreeing to reduce my APR by half for the remainder of the loan!

Best of all, though, was the lovely grovelly letter I got from them at the time!

They have crossed me before.......and I didn't even have the ferret threat then :rolleyes:
