I have to admit that the "normality" of a "proper" paid job has taken a lot of the stress from me - the erratic nature of being self employed had advantages, but with the debt payments and the expensive kids' hobbies it was always going to be hard to continue magically producing the money in the way that I have been doing!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I'm sure you've made the right choice, and you sound relieved. I'm really pleased for you.
I'm hanging on in with self-employment. I'm lucky in that I do earn pretty well (and just imagine how much more I could earn if I got organised!) So when I weigh up the pros and cons of a 'proper' job vs erratic self-employment, the latter still wins, just about. Though I am seriously tempted by the idea of a part-time PAYE job. If only I could fine one well-paid and local enough. oops sorry thread hijack!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
I'm glad you're taking those couple of days now - sounds like you could do with them. And you're right, the money did seem to be coming from nowhere - with kids, its often better to have a nice fat salary coming in! See you tomorrow, and I hope this project is going well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I'm at home still - been signed off for a week with chest infection so not doing anything worthwhile as it all seems to much effort.
