How did I know you would have luck with that £2 :rotfl: I think you're right 2008 is def your year
Hope they sort the payout though :rolleyes:0 -
Looking at your total for your Feb challenge it would be interesting if you had a running total so you can see by the end of the year how much you made altogether on the 'free' money. Or is that me who just wants that coz I'm nosey
And have you added the £200 Barclay money to the challenge money or is that not part of it?0 -
I've not yet added the £200 to anything - still don't believe it until it arrives!!
I can't find anything on MSE about withdrawing problems from butlins bingo.....hopefully it will all be ok. Although even if it isn't, I haven't actually *lost* anything!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I missed the barclays thing - probably when I was to "scared" to take up offers cos "there's nothing in this life free"
I did get the goldfish card though - even though I only have an income of £3000, they gave me a £4000 credit limithave used it - put my train fare last week on it and will now put it away til quidco pay out cos I could be dangerous with that spending limit in my purse :rotfl:
Sorry, but I think that's absolutely terrible of them! Great for you obviously as you get the cashback, and you'll have the advantage of the 0% rate if you want it, but imagine giving out a credit limit more than you earn per year?! And then they wonder why people have problems making repayments?! Just shows what a load of nonsense all this 'responsible lending' that they keep harping on about actually is - assuming you were honest about your income on the application (if they even bothered to ask) then there's no way they can justify that credit limit! Oh well, good for you stressed.mum - get the cashback and run!!!:T0 -
I relate-I'm using duchy/ducky combinations
I started off with lots of panda variations, but then when I realised that all the sites were taking us back to the same bingo I thought that maybe it would draw attention to the fact that I was the same person, IYKWIM? Thought the chat guys (if they weren't too busy sprinkling their lucky dust!)might notice that Panda1 plays, logs off, then Panda2 joins, plays, logs off, Panda3 comes along, etc etc, so I started just picking random words of things lying around or anything I heard someone say on TV! They possibly don't care, but I just wanted to reduce the chances of getting sussed as much as possible!0 -

I agree with you pandapaws. It was an application in only my name, but I did put my OH income in the spouse box (£20,000) but no other details so I don't think they should have used that?
I will definately only be using it for planed purchases - hadn't realised there was a 0% period, I only applied in hope of getting cashback! not sure if that was a good or bad thing
stressed xxxxxHoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

No matter how many years I work in the bar (have done about 5 so far!) my feet still protest big time!!!
It was so so busy up there today - I was very pleased to leave it behind!
The house is a mess - OH is at work, so me and the kids have decided to do "advert tidies" - mad dash to move things around (notice I can't say "put things away" - that would be too optomistic!) when the adverts are on the telly. If we watch something on BBC, so with no adverts, we will have to do "credits tidies" instead........
Hope everyone has had a good day!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hiya - I do advert tidies! Its not always tidying, but its definitely whizzing around like a mad thing for 5 mins - and thats the point, its 5 minutes, its not just a couple of ads, its actually quite a long time. Hope your feet are up (well, I'm guessing you're in bed by now!). I'm feeling v enthusiastic about the £10 a day challenge, and am around tomorrow, so I'll be going for it again, hope to "see" you then.
'Night!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning all, am safely ensconsed at the ski club (again!). Ds is skiing, and I left DD at home in bed because she has been coughing all night. Of course, only Mothers are tuned into children coughing, so I have also been up all night......DS and OH claim they never heard a thing
Re Butlins Bingo - don't do it!! The terms and conditions are pretty poor, and you have to wager through 10 times before you can withdraw any winnings, and of course each time you wager, it takes the money out of your actual cash, not out of your bonus money.
so, yesterday, I "won" £20, and today I played three games of bingo costing me £18 in tickets, and won all three games at over £10 a time, but was still only able to withdraw £13.21, and forfeit £31 of "bonus winnings".
Needless to say, I took the £13.21 and ran (metaphorically speaking) - rather than risk losing the whole lot just to be able to complete their ridiculous wagering requirements!
Advert tidies last night were quite successful........you can see parts of the floor now, so much improved!!
Have a good day everyone xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
