Evening Hypno! You are always working so hard these days - we miss you!

I'm glad it's working out so well for you though. How are you enjoying the job now you have had time to settle in and get used to it? Still no progress with getting internet access at work?

    And Pania - well done! :T :j

Well, to tell the truth I am over tired today - it is the anniversary of losing my Dad today, so it has been a draining day. I am now sitting with a hot water bottle just because I can't be bothered to go to bed, even though that is prob what I need most right now!

So, with the lack of bingo available to me, I will stay here awhile.........xx

The job is going well, and will go even better soon, and as for internet access at work......hmm.......sadly unlikely. Shame, because I really do miss being here (on mse) during the day!

Been having trouble with the internet, didnt mean to be rude by popping on and disappearing. Sky has a lot to answer for!! Its not the best service provider in the world and I am getting fed up of it at the moment. Ah well, you have all gone now. Hope you all have a restful night and a good day tomorrow. Physio day for me. Hope to get time to chat again soon.

Morning all - another day has arrived. Another day closer to being debt free.

Work today then straight to college.......swiftly followed by straight to bed I think!

Moneywise, HSBC called out of the blue and offered OH a reduction in his interest rate from 15.9% to 6.9% for 6 months! THEY called HIM.......what a bizarre world we live in - we cannot get a low LOB card or a 0% card, face the brick wall of debt whatever we try to do to reduce it/manage it better etc, yet out of the blue someone rings up to offer a reduced rate!

So, of course we have accepted that - they also offered to do a balance transfer at 3.9%, so I am actually quite tempted to try and shift what we can of one of the higher cards over - it won't be much, because he only has about £400 limit available, but at least it is something!

Have a good day everyone xx

    Hi Hypno
Sorry you were so drained yesterday, and for such a sad reason. Like others have said, I know he'd be proud of you - not only for the debtbusting, but for how good a mum you are to his grandchildren, and for the example you are on here. I hope you managed to get to bed soon after your last evening post, as you have another long day today.

Good news about HSBC  - that *is* bizarre, tho, isn't it, especially with all the stuff we read about the credit crunch biting - maybe your credit rating has finally caught up with reality? That would be nice, wouldn't it, and bode well for your application for a Goldfish card. Even the balance transfer would be good - do min payments for that while chucking more money at higher balances, it all helps.

As for the rest of the thread that happened since I was on last ... ouch for Seaxwyn:eek: !:

Really? When it's cold I wish I had a nice warm office to go to! I am too [strike]mean[/strike] money-saving to put any heating on when it's just me in the house and I FREEZE. Typing in gloves is not easy!

You'll get chilblains! I have to have heat on, cos of clients coming in. And luckily my therapy room only takes two mins to heat up. Although, if clients aren't in, I don't need the heat on after 10am or so :money: - I have a twelve foot wide window that faces south, sunny days in winter area actually hot in there cos the sun shines straight in - and in summer, its cool, cos there's a clever little overhang that keeps the summer sun out. The bedroom in the overhang is unbearable in summer, of course, but thats the way life is! :rotfl:
