Thank goodness for that!! Plus, I found a bar of chocolate, obviously hidden by someone after Christmas.......seemed a shame to leave it for someone less appreciative of it, so :EasterBun

  • Well done on the essay its such a lovely feeling when its all printed out and in its file/sleeve/folder or wherever ready to hand in... I have actually finished studying for the time being and I am actually missing it  never though I'd say that!

I am thinking of doing my PGCE but am thinking of the cost at the moment

That's what I am doing, I got a grant to cover the whole lot - not means tested and no need to pay it back either.

That said, though, I haven't received the cash yet, although I have been invoiced for the course! The college will just have to wait until the money hits my account!

Thanks I will see if grants are available in my area? Are you liking it? Apart from the stress of fitting it in with everything else that is! Is it 2 years part time?

Yes, 2 years part time. I only started it in October, so still a long way to go. It is reasonably time consuming but I suppose if I was better organised it would probably be easier!! I only have to go to college one evening a week for 3 hours, the rest is done by assessment in the workplace, and home study.

The grant was available to everyone on our course, so def worth a look. Give the student loan company a call - they will soon be able to tell you.
