  • is it because you live in scotland?
No, don’t live in Scotland anymore and haven’t for some time
Did you live in Scotland when it was awarded? not sure if it makes any difference.
No, I didn’t live in Scotland when it was awarded.

According to Equifax there’s none on my file and my score is fair at present.
Your score isnt seen by anyone other than yourself, all that matters is the history is correct so is it ?
    Yeah the information is correct.
Was just curious as to why the CCJ isn’t showing anymore, is it because it’s almost been 6 years?
As to why irs not showing I dont know.
Is it not showing on the other credit reference agencies ?
Checked equifax and Experian and it’s not showing.
  • They should come off on the 6 year date. Sometimes they drop very shortly before (e.g. a couple of days, no more than a week early). It seems strange to come off a month early.

If you DSAR Trust Online you'll get the report that costs £6 for free. They were pretty quick when I did it. That'll confirm what they hold on you. If it's blank, then your CCJ has gone early.... if it's still there then it's probably just a CRA error, so I'd be safe and wait the additional month to prevent potential problems down the line.

From experience, I wouldn't have thought a CCJ nearly 6 years old (unless it's massive: in the thousands) would prevent you getting the mortgage, unless you've also got other credit/income issues. With so little time to go, if Trust Online do say that it's still there, you might as well just wait it out now - as it will be easier when it's not showing at all (credit scoring etc.). But if you were desperate to get going within the next month, I'd speak to another adviser as I really don't think the CCJ (alone) should be a flat no.

I've known (and given) mortgages where people had a CCJ that's 4/5 years old.

You can always dispute it, and ask them to put it back on :) (That's a tongue in cheek comment of course!!)

If it's gone - it's gone. Now don't go out and earn another one

congrats, could be administrative error on when they started the CCJ. So the 6 years was spent earlier because it began earlier.
