Having just got of the phone to HSBC I queried the fact that I had not received a confirmation email that my request had been logged and was told that your details will have been taken down and passed onto the department dealing with these loans and to expect up to two weeks for them to work there way through them all and that they would then contact you potentially via email.

Just to quickly give my experience, I applied for a feeder account on May 4th, I was told I would receive a call back, I had the call on May 7th, had to give details about business about business etc documents where then sent to myself etc to sign (Nothing to do with BBL). There has been a delay to feeder account as there was a delay with the terms and conditions - this has been rectified on Friday. I emailed today for an update and got the following response 'Your case was sent to second line check last week. Once they have approved the case, I will contact you with further details. Unfortunately, I cannot advise of a timeframe as volumes are increasing however, we are doing the best we can to open accounts as soon as possible.'  So I am nearly 4 weeks in, just to open a feeder account, once this opens then will have to apply for BBL and judging by the responses here, that could take a further 3 weeks. I am not being critical of HSBC I am a new customer, I just have to sit tight, even though the money is needed, but my own bank Tide are only pre approving certain businesses, so I have no choice but to wait.

Applied for a feeder account on the 4th May today I finally got my account number and sort code and applied for the BBL - 3 and a half weeks lets hope there quicker to release funds!

When I had the telephone call, that was with a client support manager, who sent documents to myself via their email and I replied back to that email.

Hi I'm in the same boat as you. Received my account number today and have printed the forms to fill in. Can you tell me what account you used for "payment instruction"? Is this the account you are setting the direct debit up out of your bank account? Or is this the feeder account in which they want to pay into? I'm a bit confused and can't get hold of my account manager. Thanks

Hi there, have just completed that section. Account details should be for the account you want the money transferred to after it goes in the feeder account. I did this 2 days ago, did get a email saying it’s been applied. Hope this helps?
