NowTV box available?

I am helping my non-techie sister-in-law with her new TV setup. She is awaiting delivery of a smart TV (Philips) which will have Freeview and the usual apps like iPlayer, Netflix, Prime etc but not NowTV. She has given me a list of channels she watches and, while some of them are on Freeview there are some which will need paying for. Her broadband is TalkTalk but not all the channels are available on TalkTalkTV. Looks like NowTV is the way to go so I'll need to find a way to get that going. I thought that there was some way to record via a NowTV box but the stick they're advertising on the website doesn't mention recording. Can anyone suggest my best way of getting NowTV to the TV and also a way to record please? As I said , my sister-in-law is not a techie at all and I obviously can't visit to help her at the moment.

I don't think there is a way of recording the live channels on NowTV (although I may be wrong).

However the on-demand selection of programs that is available would really mean that recording the live channels is probably not needed.

If sky made Nowtv box recordable then why would people pay ridiculous prices for sky's satellite service

You can pause for a short period on Now but you can't record.  However a large chunk of the content is on demand anyway so it's arbitrary anyway.

Easiest way to get NowTV to the TV is either a NowTV box/stick or a Roku box, the Now TV boxes are repackaged Rokus anyway.  Big list here of what you can watch Now on:
