My account was locked today
Mine was a result of the Easy Jet hack, every account I have anywhere has been hacked since
A two minute phone call and it was all sorted0 -
Thanks, I will check cifasbut I'll have to wait until covid is over, as they sayn line with government recommendations the Cifas office is now closed and therefore we are unable to send or receive post. We have to have your email address so that we can provide a response to you.but then also say
Unfortunately, we are unable to handle requests over email as we require originals of some documents in order to prove your identity before releasing information about you.

slopemaster said:You are correct I am no longer on electoral register in UK, but I was registering on e-bay with my French address.Amazon (uk or fr), Etsy, etc have no problem sending stuff to me at this address. The reason I'm not trying to get the account unlocked is because I read on the e-bay boards that they NEVER do this once they have said "no appeal", so it would be a waste of energy. The reason I am wanting to get the account closed and deleted is because they must have inaccurate data about me, to have led to this decision. So surely they can't just refuse to either correct it or delete it?
They won't delete your account because they will want to keep your details so that they can prevent you from opening another account which is a valid reason.2 -

If they suspected that something wasn't quite right with your account, they are perfectly entitled to keep hold of your details in case there are any further problems in the future.1 -
