I have just applied today for RE and GAP to start MS.
I am currently a full time student at uni, with a part-time job (7hours per week) so I do not earn over £4465 per year.
Am I correct in thinking that if I apply for the small earnings exemption certificate I will be successful, and if I do apply for it do I have to send off a copy of my last payslip or anything similar? Or is it only money from MS that I would have to declare.
Slightly confused on this point. Would appreciate any help available as I want to make sure I contact the tax man so he doesnt come after me later!!
Thanks,
malteaser1988
Yes, you should be successful, and you just need to tell them that your income will be less than the £4k, if my experience is anything to go by. :TEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Everything you need to know and what to say is all explained to you, and there is an easy to fill out questionnaire as you ask the people questions. The company deals with holiday companies and vehicle hire etc. They also do mystery shops as well. Payment is good and youreceive it approx within 2 weeks of putting in your invoice, which is also done on their website.
Optimum Contact is the only mystery shopping I know that offers telephone survey work (so far). I could actually make a living sitting at home if they had surveys available all the time!0 -
Just been looking at the "becoming self employed" form
Am I correct in assuming that I do not have to fill in all the information about the business as I am not setting up a new business?
Thanks in advance.SPC Member #1654

Do you have to be able to record the conversations for Optimum Contact? I've been asked whether I have this equipment by one of the MS sites.
I have done a couple of telephone surveys for TNS this year.0 -
These telephone surveys, are you calling people at home (ie cold calling?)0

As for the request for information on Amber Arch-I allocate visits for this company in Ireland( North and South) and the UK so if anyone would like to email me please feel free.

Some of them are calling up customers of a product or service, and asking them what they thought of the said product or service.
I don't know what the actual job is like as I've never fancied doing them. Here I go again on my own....0 -
hello, has anyone heard of ICM Direct? Apparently they called and didn't leave a message on answer machine. It's a research company, but not sure how they got my telephone, I belong to several survey sites so maybe through that route.
Are they one to avoid?
Thanks.0
