I have read a post on mystery shopping flights, sorry to sound dumb, but do you mean they pay you to fly? or is it if you are already going on holiday etc? (probably the latter eh, as the other would be brilliant!)
    TIA
  • Hi all
Just a quick question on expenses - I've skimmed through much of this thread and can't find the answer. I want to try and do the tax thing and be legal.

I'm doing an online survey that involves a purchase - prob no different to when you guys go out and buy something though.

My understanding is that the calculation is:

Total fees - costs as per post 1 - cost of buying product (lunch etc) = profit??

I'm not buying lunch, I'm buying a product that I'll be left with at the end. Does that mean that I don't deduct that cost, but that the value of the product is part of my profit? Also, if I put something towards it (ie buy a better thing) I might actually use it - does this mean I make a loss on paper, or, that all my profit would be tied up in goods?

Reading back I haven't put that very well, sorry its not more succinct!

    TIA
    Cbm

Does anyone know if its ok to take a child with you on a supermarket visit with tns? ta!

I purposely arranged my TNS Supermarket x3 job for Tuesday morning when hubby was working from home so I could leave my little boy with him. Then he got called into work urgently so I had to take my son with meso I hope they will pay me!

  • I dont think the supermarket ones make that much difference do they? I mean if you take children, surely the people the supermarkets want to be appealing to is mums' with kids, they are always harping on about how they help more than anyone else.

It's the first, they pay for your flights, up to a certain amount for travel to & from the airport, and for in-flight catering. I had quite a nice day in Belgium a couple of months back

Quite right. Although they quite often appeal to people already flying to do MS at various airport cafes/bars/restaurants...

I think the flights are just usually for one person but holidays may be for the whole family.

The problem is that for long haul flights you may well be one of 100 or more applicants - that is what the project manager at one mystery shopping company told me. The way to boost your chances of getting a flight is to score highly on all your jobs and bring that to the attention of the project manager. If you you do not have high scores then I think you can forget it!

Also, try for the short haul flights first (possibly inland); you will not make any money but it shows willingness and make sure your report is well-written and on-time.

Well everyone I did that recorded shop this morning. I got a bit worried when they said I couldn't have the amount of loan I was requesting, but I could have 3 times that amount! (Due to outstanding debt that I would have to consolidate to be able to take more)

So I went along with that and now I have come away I think I might actually take it. I could pay off my Mum (the debt I want to clear the most) and pay off the loan I took out in my sister's name (she knows about it don't worry!!) and clear mine and hubby-to-be's overdrafts etc and be paying less interest that I do now.

Maybe this will have turned out ok after all!! :D

Hey guys can anyone tell me when BAI pay? I can't see anything on the website. I take it they pay via paypal?

I had my first shop with them graded now and have just accepted a job for a cool designer store! I was wary of them at first just bcasue the website id geared up for USA shoppers and not too user friendly but I have to admit they are growing on me!
