Can i charge Vodafone for mistakes?
I bought an iPad on a 24 month contract but when it arrived I didn't like the operating system and could not get it to sync with android phone so after one day I decided to send it back. I was on hold for ages waiting then I got someone (you cannot cancel online). I waited for over a month for the return jiffy bag but I called to chase it after 14 days. I mentioned that I will not have the cash in my account due to losing all my work and I was promised "not one penny will be taken as my account has a return notice on my account.
On the 13th May £146 was removed from my account (4 weeks after I returned the iPad). This emptied my bank account leaving me with no money. Vodafone said that the iPad had not been received from the warehouse so I did a track and found it was signed for on 5th May by Vodafone.
I had to humiliate myself by asking people to borrow money from them due to Vodafones incompetence. I then had all the anxiety of not being able to pay other bills due.
I'm completely fed up with companies making mistakes then I'm the one who has to investigate and lose out due to incompetence. I feel strongly enough that I should be compensated for the stress, anxiety and time resolving this issue.
Does anyone know of any proceedings that I can instigate to charge companies for these mistakes as I've had enough of the consumer being penalised for mistakes (late billing fees, bad credit references etc) but when they muck up the consumer seems always on the rear footing.

You can claim for your quantifiable losses. Not stress, anxiety, hair falling out etc. Why didn't you cancel the DD over that 4 week period? Only you can do that, not Voda.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
