Hi all. Holiday date 23rd July. have bought flights with Easy Jet. Hotel with Holiday Gems. Have paid £270 deposit with Holiday Gems. 2.3k deposit was due last week. I emailed to cancel a few weeks ago but no response. Today i get an email saying that balance is overdue and I must pay immediately? No idea what to do...Any help gratefully appreciated.

Hi SJenx,
What did you actually agree to when you booked? It all hinges on this information. As you cancelled you would definitely lose your deposit but may owe more if the t's and c's dictate it?
Of course, you could simply ignore it all and see what happens? Although bear in mind there is a chance you could be taken to court for recovery of monies owed -if any. You have your email to them showing the date you requested cancellation?
Personally, I would not be inclined to part with any more money and take my chances but am not suggesting this is the right way to go. It really is up to you. First off check what you agreed to.0 -
Thanks. What do you mean by “check what you agreed to”?0
