So for 6 years you are entitled to 6 week notice period.

I guess I shall count my self lucky then - as of Friday I will be on 8 weeks notice although I am not required to work the notice period. Ever the optimist I shall look at this as an opportunity for my future....

In the absence of TUPE the next logical steps
- Try to get a suitable alternative at the current company
- Try to get the a job at the place your work is going, Do you know where they are out sourcing the work, they may be interested in experienced people for this type of sales role(maybe even work from home if not local enough).
- Look for another job.
Statutory redundancy based on 6 years service is tax free up to £30k
MIn 6 weeks notice pay from the date you are notified you will get terminated
