Lovely blue sky here at the moment but still fairly windy.DH has just been tying back the clematis which had come adrift. One or two roads shut locally due to fallen trees too, but seemed ok on the park when I took Lylapup out. She was very spooked yesterday when an empty builders bag blew down the road, luckily it got caught behind a parked van so we were able to proceedI sorted out a cupboard and 2 pan drawers yesterday - I know how to live! Not sure what we'll eat tonight, don't really want to risk an Indian takeaway after the delivery was so late last week. We do have some bbq bits left from the butchers but it's not exactly the weather for it
Have some nice fishcakes but the men turned their noses up yesterday when I suggested them, so I don't suppose they'll have changed their minds about them.I might just freeze them and eat them myself when I fancy fish, I know they're not keen on fish really
Right time to go and do something really excitinghave a good day all x

Hello all. We had heavy showers through the night but it's breezy and sunny now. There are showers predicted for the rest of today but it is very muggy, the patio doors are open wide and I can hear the blackbirds singing. Lovely.I've been up since silly o'clock worrying about why I haven't had a quarterly bill from SSE. There isn't one showing on my account either, it just shows my next bill is due in August. Very strange, I suppose I'll have to ring them next week after the bank holiday.Yesterday I tidied/sorted my clothes and shoes, I put away some heavy winter stuff and brought out some summer stuff...... we'll probably have no summer now. I found a few sewing projects hidden in a drawer, so I have pulled them out in the hope I will do them before they get put back in a drawer again ! I also did a wash so the laundry basket was emptied, but it has slowly started to fill up again
It did dry on the whirly though except the waistbands of my joggers, they are all I seem to be wearing with a T. shirt and I add a cardi if it's cool.
This afternoon I need to dust the dining room, I'm ashamed that you can write your name in it on the welsh dresser !!! Tea tonight will be some chicken fingers found in the freezer, which were leftovers from Xmas..... I'm not wasting anything. I'll do a sweet and sour sauce and have it with rice.Take care all, stay safe and wellnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Bee sting subsided although my watch strap is still too tight to wear. Very windy here too, though the newly transplanted runner beans are surviving suprisingly well. We went shopping last night and OH put things into the trolley, fortunately he paid! Found some frozen wild cherries lurking in the freezer so have cherry crumble cooking now. Smells lovely.Knitted a cardigan and hat for the not-yet-born-due-August first grandchild. Mum-to-be is doing well and is comfortable in my loose top and trousers! Remind me I should lose some weight from my middle, I'm too old to be looking pregnant!11

Evening all,
It is raining here......nice soft rain but rain all the same. We could do with it so long as it doesn't stay for three months!
Very stiff and sore today, think that I will take some paracetamol before I go to bed, did it once before and it seemed to help, could do with some unbroken sleep.
M.E..........i am overweight by quite a few kgs but when I look at myself I look at least 8 months pregnant......seems to be where most women add their extra weight, I read today that what inspired the founder of Weight Watchers was someone asking her when her baby was due!
We had roast pork, cabbage, green beans and Hasselback potatoes......very good.
Going to try for a earlier night tonight......just seem to let bedtime slide to midnight or later.
Enjoy your bank holiday weekend......ours was the first Monday but we have another one on June 1st not that it makes any difference to those of us who are cocooning.
