National Holidays

Hi
So earlier it was announced that National holidays have gone into administration. I've been looking on the websites provided on their page but I'm struggling and getting confused. I paid the deposit via credit card, then later paid the remainder via bank card. Now on the website it states to contact bank to request a charge back & s75 of consumers credit act 1974. Now I've been in contact with my bank and they said they cant consider a chargeback because my holiday date is in August and therefore to contact national holiday for reimbursement. Now looking on the BCH-Uk.org website I can only submit a claim starting 26th may, however form isnt suitable for those who used credit/debit cards. So who do I contact ??

Do you have holiday insurance.
Failing that if you paid any or all of your holiday by credut card contact your credit card company . Section 75make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Contact them again asking for a Chargeback on the transactions (debit & credit cards) that you require a refund for.
State that the company you are claiming from has ceased trading and you require a refund.
If the Chargeback fails, you are covered with your credit card for the whole amount under section 75

I'm not able to use section 75 or chargeback because they say my holiday isnt due yet. Its in August. Advised to contact national holidays but dont know how. Cos the online form that is going live on 26th may states it's not for credit/debit card transaction.. so what do I do?0

It might take a while, and you will have to make sure you claim correctly if you use S75

I have just finished a phone call with Santander Support (0800 9 123 123), who were very helpful in the steps needed to claim under section 75. Basically they checked the National Holidays web site to confirm the situation, checked the payment made on my card, said it wouldn’t be a problem and to forward all emails (inc the one saying NH were in administration) to their section 75 department.
Very straightforward.1 -
Thanks, I'm going to contact bank again...cos it's all over internet about it being in administration therefore my August holiday ain't gonna happen so they should start chargeback for it now...0

OP are you sure your holiday isn't one of those where payments are protected?0

Just had an email from the section 75 department at Santander (claim as per my earlier post on this thread), they are initially trying a chargeback for a quicker resolution, and if not successful they will take the section 75 route.0
