Can I leave Sky contract without penalty?

I joined Sky last September as my current broadband contract was up and they were offering a deal where I would receive £100 on a MasterCard for joining and so would the friend who introduced me. My friend - their current customer - received his £100 but mine never came through. I have phoned on 3 separate occasions and each time I was told that they would send it out but never came. The last call they said they would get a manager to ring me as they weren’t apparently pleased with how they’d treated me. Manager never rang, £100 pre-paid MasterCard never arrived. I don’t see why I should call them again as have given them enough opportunity to pay so as I was technically mis-sold my package, am I in my rights to now leave without paying a penalty for leaving my 18 month contract early as I would much rather leave than get the £100?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

No , you have signed a contract for 18 months ..
The £100 MasterCard is a side issue which will eventually be sorted.
They have already paid out £100 to your friend, would you be willing to pay them back out of your own money?2 -
Yeah but I signed the contract on the promise of receiving the £100 so it’s hardly a side issue. I never did receive it even after spending quite a bit of my time chasing it - it’s been well over 6 months now and am not willing to waste anymore of my time ringing them up - why should I? A contract is a two way thing and they have failed to obligate their promise so as far as I can see it should be deemed invalid.0

.You asked a question it was answered ,but you don't agree with the answer .None of us here know the facts of this offer so can only give the usual advice regarding contracts .Was this £100 offer part of the contract if so post a linkAs £200 discount seems rather a lot .What may happen if you stop paying is they pass the debt to debt recovery and trash your credit record for 6 years

Thanks for replies.
I wouldn’t just stop paying obviously as don’t need grief that would bring and don’t want a poor credit rating - I was hoping it could be seen as a mid-sold package or a breach of contract and get me out of paying the penalty I’ll incur by leaving early and in a fair world I think that should be the case. Obviously, it’s not so I’ll continue to chase money ASAP and then once I’ve got it I’ll leave and use it to knock off £100 of my early leaving penalty. The money I’ll save over the next year will be worth it as subscription has already increased to just shy of £80 per month and I haven’t even got a particularly laden package - god knows what people with sports channels and movies must be paying.0 -
nowtv's early termination fee is actually very reasonable. Surprisingly so. Nowtv is part of SKY so you might want to check the t&cs. In short. A phone and fibre connection I'm paying £30 p/m for, they'll charge me around £6.50 per month of the remainder of the contract.Which is very reasonable - I'm moving houses soon so cancelling the 5 months left on the contract won't cost me much at all!0

Just switched to BT, using their "chat" they promise to cover up to £300 of cancellation fees, in my case £153 so goodbye forever to TalkTalk!
Happy bunny!
