Hi all
A query here.
I have a friend who is on holiday in Bulgaria at the moment and would like to ring to surprise her! I am on Orange 500 mins X-net off peak atm and would like to know how I can get to ring.
She's on Vodafone and could I use my inclusive mins as part of the call? if so, what's the best way to do this please?
Any advice/tips/info would be greatly appreciated.
thxs

Assuming your friend has a UK based mobile and is roaming on a Bulgarian network, you can call her using your off-peak mins as you will simply be calling a UK mobile number. However, your friend will be stung with an incoming call charge which according to the Vodafone site would be £1.25 per minute - a surprise she might not thank you for!
You might be better to send her a text! This space has been intentionally left blank0 -
Thxs 4 that but it wasn't the answer I was looking for really. i have seen postings on various boards saying that one can dial for free using prefixes etc.
Can anyone enlighten me on such methods? I'm aware that the recipient would incur horrenduous charges for calls etc. but surely there's a cheaper or at least free way round this?

Jonah1156,
if your friend is using a UK Vodaphone sim in her mobile and is paying roaming charges in Bulgaria then they will always be paying to receive your call. Ways round this would be for them to use a local sim in their phone or one of the Lichtenstein sims (then text you the number). It would then be free for them to receive your call but would cost you even if you used one of the companies on the call checker or nifty list....and then the window licker said to me...0
