Shell Energy joining gift wait 90 days but then no gift card - already late to the agreement

After waiting 90 days I complained just to get this reply:

Dear John,
Thank you for your email. We apologise you have not yet had the link to your gift card. As it is only one day after the date you were to recieve your link, give it another seven days to see if it arrives. Be sure to also check you junk or spam folders too. 
If it has not arrived in the next seven days, please feel free to contact us again so that we can look into it for you.
We are here to help.

BUT an agreement is an agreement and I want compensatory payment.   It isnot good enough to make you wait 90 days for the "joining gift" since that is all within the price paid for the service.  If they make me wait a further 7 or so days that may cause me to have to pay for goods order from Amazon when I am owed this money.  The whole scheme is claerly a means to offer some reward and make it so sdifficult to claim that half of us fall foul of the draconian limits that they place on your claim.

My last conbtract with Talk Talk also had a gift card but I missed the emailed link and fell foul of the claim time limit.  Is this good enough to you?

You want compo for at the moment, one days late delivery of a free gift card?


There is a little virus thing going about at the moment with people ill, dying, not working or working from home, with many things running a lot later than one day. 


I know not getting your free gift card on the day, must be devastating for you, but in the present circumstances, perhaps wait and give them time.

If you were going to use it for Amazon you should have waited and ordered  after you got the card.
