I never agreed to sign up to a 24 months Fibre package. BT Basic has no contract applied to it. Besides, they have not setup BT Basic, never sent the form, so I fail to see how I would be liable for a whole month of service for something I never asked for.

Pull the plug then asap even if you have to pay a month to get out of something you don't want .
Dont think anybody has an answer to your actual question .

    That's what I did yesterday.
BT Basic could have been a nice thing if they bothered sending the application form like they promised 3-4 times.
The reasoning behind Zen Broadband is that I am hoping their customer service truly is a lot better than any other provider, and the monthly price has dropped from £37 to £29.99, lifetime price guarantee. At this stage, I could do with the peace of mind... Any other provider would have offered £18-22 a month for 12-18 months, and then asked for £35-37 or maybe even £50+.
I do expect BT to try and ask me for 24 months x £27 (or some similar calculation) for the length of the contract they've signed me up to even though all I asked for is BT Basic...
What a terrible experience, bordering on a scam / extortion of money.
