As someone working in social care, we've been given thinkpads which are much better if/when people finally get out and about.
Lighter and more portable, and can be used in tablet form to take notes which talking to people in a far less intrusive way that having a traditional open laptop.
Having said that, our IT have been struggling to get hold of anything recently.

Quite a few sellers of refurbished Dell Latitude and Thinkpad T and X series on Ebay. All are corporate grade machines that'll put up with a lot of grief, can be fairly easily repaired and there's tons of parts available.

Probably down to current supply and demand with the upsurge in home working.  I've been supplied with a Dell latitude which is great.  I was also given an allowance for a monitor and noticed loads were out of stock when I was looking.
