On Martin's program on TV, he mentioned the word forbearance.
With regard to travel companies not playing the "we're all in this together" and refusing refunds etc., its not just those who provide holidays abroad.
Domestic breaks have also been fraught.

One company that is particularly poor is Sykes Holiday Cottages.  I haven't dealt with these personally but a member of my family has and probably won't be using them again.

My brother-in-law decided to cancel his week in the Yorkshire Dales, due to his partner being of the age and fragility that she was considered a vulnerable risk.  This was a responsible proactive decision, that at the time was probably thought over-reactionary, but the prediction was correct when official lockdown came soon after along with travel restrictions.

The company accepted his decision, with proviso, so he cancelled and he lost his deposit, which he was prepared to live with.  But several weeks later, after being notified, they took the balance from his credit card after stating they wouldn't.  They claimed it was a demand made by the owner of the cottage they were representing, which I cannot believe.  I have dealt directly with cottage owners in the past and found that they are usually very reasonable, to the point where we actually became friends with one owner and his wife and used their cottage for nearly 10 years on and off until they sold it to some other friends.  We now deal amicably with those direct too.

The company started quoting things like claiming off holiday insurance and if that doesn't work claim off your credit card company.  I'm gambling that virtually no one takes out holiday insurance for domestic holidays, why would you for traveling up the motorway less that 100 miles?  Your not going to need medical insurance that's a fact.  The credit card company wouldn't entertain it either.

So it would be good if the website could start listing poor companies who provide domestic holidays and breaks.  Starting with Sykes Cottages.
