The store brands are all made by Cott Corporation, the Canada based fizzy maker to the world, anyway.

From the same site:With concentrate sales to more than 60 countries and more than 75 retailer brand programs, soft drinks have defined Cott for over 50 years. We count among our partners most of the largest retailers in the world, including Wal-Mart, HEB, Tesco, and Metro.
Actually, all of them. Have a look at this:

I can recommend Netto's own brand diet cola, its 20p per 2ltr bottle, and I much prefer this one than Asda/Tesco/Sainsburys/lidl/Morrisons cheap cola of a similar price.
I completely agree with you on this. I have just bought some zero coke as I got a till spit from Tesco for some points but it went through me spending £1.45 for a 2 litre bottle of diet coke when we normally buy Netto's own brand for about 20p. To be honest I really do prefer Netto's to the zero coke it has much more flavour so in my opinion I wouldn't bother with the fancy brand names and go for taste! and save some pennies along the way!!!
If you work out a year's worth of £1.45 a bottle against the Netto's 20p it is a significant saving if you drink a lot of pop.:grouphug: :grouphug:0 -
virgin or sainsbury's diet cola and somerfield diet cloudy lemonade!0

I used to be a coke adict (the cola type!) have tried them all and my recomendations would be the asda own brand (not smartprice) and the lidl cola.0

I usually buy pop at Lidls. They do a very decent cloudy lemonade. An orangeade which tastes of orange, and a version of IrnBru which is not totally contemptible.
My main reason for buying these is; they don't contain aspartame.I notice a lot of the 'brands' have reduced sugar in their regular drink,by adding aspartame. They make out that the drinks are now better for kids because of this.Omitting to mention the citric and phosphoric acids left in, which do as much damage as sugar. Not to mention aspartame which does who knows what!(Besides tasting b***** awful).I'd rather take my chances with the sugar!
Suprised myself with a bit of a rant there!0 -
tesco normal coke red label own brand is incredibly close to the original. seriously.

Another advantage to the supermarket brands (certainly Tesco and Sainsbury's) is that they are suitable to be served to Vegetarians (some also to Vegans) whilst Coca Cola and Pepsi are not available in the UK without animal products.
Personally I like the Sainsbury's classic cola0
