Drive alone? some places did that before human malware was an issue

My daughter and son-in-law urgently need to purchase a car and have been told by multiple car dealers that test drives are not currently allowed.  They have been able to visually inspect, but will be relying on the Right to Reject if there are any problems once the car has been delivered. 

Hence the "human malware" term ... enough people have been scammers and scumbags over the years to mean that sellers won't allow solo test drives anymore.
