Happy and immensely relieved that everything went smoothly.
Hopefully Ex will continue with the help he's getting, as he obviously needs it and it can only bode well for his relationship with your daughter and you, and any future relationship he may have.
It's good to hear your daughter has settled so well and likes where you're living, and that you have also settled in by the sound of things.
Wishing you all the very best for your future. XXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy1 -
@Kakiste I re-read your diary from soup to nuts over Easter. I am so utterly impressed by your achievements and attitude. Hope you and DD are settling in well; wishing you both every happiness. The behaviour of soon-to-be (?) Exh is hilarious....considering how to intro new girlfriend to DD within 15 minutes. You are quite right to put boundaries in place as what some might call cynical is to me a totally realistic assessment of his agenda. Love Humdinger xx4

Glad you are settled but please be on your guard. Sounds like game playing by ex is still going strong. You always come across as dignified and in control.
just been reading another couple of threads and am horrified by the childish behaviour displayed by so called adults. No filter at all. You have dealt with this so well and deserve happiness

Sorry about the lack of update! Had internet since Thursday evening but just been super busy!
Went out to the village pub on Friday night with my friend, she lives the next village over. Had a lovely time- got to know the family who run the pub and had a decent amount of local beers.
Going to a ceilidh in the village in 3 weeks time (with the same friend)- bought the tickets yesterday.
Daughter spent yesterday capturing woodlice and creating a new habitat for them on the garden wall whilst singing- cats were hillarious- sitting on the kitchen windowsill watching her (they aren't allowed out for another fortnight yet)
Bought a firestick for my TV so I now have all the usual streaming services back.
Back to school tomorrow- there's class changes so hopefully there won't be too much drama and an easy first day back.Bottom line;

Been offered another marking contract as well in a different subject- due to the dates the exams are on it'll mean that marking for both of them will be staggered so I can do both- hopefully make another nice chunk of money there!Bottom line;
