Cats went out for the first time yesterday- (my sister came up for the weekend and we went out into the national park on both days so didn't have time to let them out then)
Cats had a mooch around and the younger one spent most of the time chasing moths. Didn't give them their dinner beforehand so they both came in straight away when called.Bottom line;

Glad the cats have been out and returned with no problems. I’m excited to hear about your plans for the garden - I’ve got a garden with lots of “potential” (aka needs lots of work!)0

So lovely to read your posts. Both the cats you and your daughter seem to be settling in so well. I’m so very pleased for you xx2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So the first history exam was a dream paper- really solid and obvious questions- we'd specifically revised those exact topics so I'm hopeful that they've done well.
Now frantically revising the second two modules for an exam in 3 weeks time- I'll have 3 lessons with that group between now and the 7th so need to pack in as much as possible.Bottom line;

@Kakiste good that it's all going so well. This is your diary and we all use our diaries as we see fit so please tell me to mind my own business. How is living in your own space going? Hope there's no fallout from ex? Love Humdinger xx2

So far it is incredibly amicable. He has continued to go to a psychologist weekly and seems to be making lots of progress in owning his own past behaviour. Splitting childcare has also gone incredibly well (thus far) we've mostly stuck to the 50/50 arrangement I drew up (which due to carefully planned school drop offs/pick ups on my part means I get to see daughter everyday.) A few times he's been unable to do school pickups due to the therapy sessions starting straight after work so I've been flexible and gone and done extra pickups and been profusely thanked each time.
I've still been repeatedly apologised to and I've found arrangements for school holidays very easy to make (I've asked for what I wanted around taking daughter on bigger trips (I'm wanting to take daughter to Ikea and to an ice skating rink and so far we've discussed dates- we're using an online calendar to plan out childcare and appointments and the like which seems to be going really well)
He's also calmed down on the dating apps front and commented the other day that he needs to sort himself out and understand fully where it all went wrong with us before he even thinks of a new relationship. So..... that's also good (from a pov of not having to navigate daughter through it all)
My house is shaping up nicely, I've got my bedroom furniture fully sorted now. I think I'll paint in the summer holidays.
I used adhesive tiles on the downstairs bathroom floor and it looks lovely.touch of colour pulled the space together.
Library isn't yet sorted- waiting on the money from exam marking which starts in early June before I buy bookcases but there is furniture in there.
I've been sorting the garden and the lawn and one the big borders are both now tamed. Though I think the crows are stealing things..... I've been feeding them and the thing they most like are half coconut shell birdfeeders filled with peanut butter- however I was going to refill them using cheap supermarket peanut butter- but the coconut shells kept disappearing (hung 10 ft up in a tree so not my daughter) yesterday I saw one of the crows pull it off the branch and it dropped to the floor and when I went outside a bit later the coconut shell had gone! (no idea what they're doing with it!)

So glad things are good with your ex; so much better for you and your daughter especially that he realises it's not a good idea to get into another relationship at the moment.

It is so good to read your updates @Kakiste , it sounds like the transition to your new life has been very smooth. I'm really happy that so far the co-parenting arrangements are working well and that things at the new house are coming together
