It's just peaceful and really lovely.
Garden looks beautiful. Still waiting on the kitchen though so it's all a bit makeshift at the moment- but it's all good.
Managed to earn £300 so far on exam marking and we're only 5 days in.Bottom line;

First deadline for exam marking has come and gone and I'm above the expected marking rate. History marking starts at the weekend.
Took daughter to a cat show this weekend- she's absolutely loved it- convinced a load of the breeders to let her hold kittens.Bottom line;

Met the second exam marking deadline by the skin of my teeth! But it's met. Currently marking for the two exam boards but the RE marking is finishing on Friday so that's good. (then it'll be the free for all marking that happens for about 8 days after that)Bottom line;

Well done @Kakiste! I hope having your new home and the sense of calm I imagine that brings is a good backdrop to to this intense period of marking! And that the cats and DD are still very much enjoying the garden and the space you have created.Good luck with the next push!1

All sounds calm and lovely @Kakiste; well, work deadlines aside! How are you enjoying everything? Love Humdinger xx0

Still going. I've technically finished RE (I'm at 134% of my quota) but they've opened it up again so I'm paid extra for any others I can mark. I'm at 60% of the history and the deadline is Saturday so still plenty of time. I'm going to focus on the history for a day or two and see if I can get it all done and then go back and see if there is any RE left.
Still all calm and lovely at home. I'm planning a big Ikea trip in the summer with my daughter once the marking pays. Though I got a fancy lamp from my friend as a housewarming present this weekend and I love it massively. ÅSKMULLER Table lamp, white, 24 cm - IKEA It's this one- looks like an oil lamp and you can dim the bulb! Daughter is very jealous so I've promised her a touch lamp on the summer ikea trip for her bedroom.Bottom line;

Sounds like you have a good extra income stream there with the marking. Hiya everyone. Made £1670 from exam marking and £625 from cat sitting across the summer holiday! In related news I took my daughter to Paris (and to Disneyland) at the end of the holiday- we had an absolute blast! We stayed above a boulangerie so we ate breakfast there every morning. (Though with all the excessive walking I did I clearly burned it all off)

Wonderful to hear from you @Kakiste! Hope your/dd's school isn't affected by the concrete situation?! Love Humdinger xx0
