Getting a bit worried here. Hope everything is OK? XXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Kakiste did say internet not being set up for 2 weeks and not to worry if doesn't post for a few days. Hopefully this is reason.1

Hello! Cheers for all the well wishes. It is indeed the total lack of internet that's the reason for the silence. However my internet is going live this coming Thursday so I'll be back then.
This update comes to you sat in the sun in the village park where it turns out I have 2 bars of signal! #winning daughter is playing with a bunch of kids who are here on holiday and they keep telling her how lucky she is to live here. (Just heard one say "so are you, like /really/ rich then?" 😝 Daughter is beaming 😀)
House move went incredibly smoothly. Then the younger cat registered her incredible distain for the 20 minute journey in a cat carrier by going up the chimney! However daughter tempted her down like a champ with dreamies and we sponged most of the soot off!
Had various friends show up with cases of cider and prosecco and I've been round to a couple of friend's houses.
In an unexpected turn of events husband had an initial and very predictable emotional collapse where it was all very emotional and weepy and "how could you do this to me?" Then signed himself up for dating apps! (Literally 15 minutes later! And asked me how long he'd have to wait until he could introduce a girlfriend to daughter!)
But has since had a revelation where he's realised how abusive and horrible he was and has signed himself up with a psychologist and started counselling sessions and keeps apologising. This was very unexpected and the honed cynic in me, suspects it could be another final play to get me back under his control- which I've told him.
I've told him I'm not going back but I'm pleased for both him, our daughter and our future co-parenting relationship that he's trying to change.
But he's still being incredibly pleasant (though did keep trying to ring me and have long weepy chats in the last 4 days but after the first one I've told him I don't really have the emotional reserve to be his additional therapist and I'm not going to be there for that- so far he's respected that.... Mostly.
So interesting times.
May not update again until internet is restored- depends on time in park.Bottom line;

I'm glad everything went smoothly. It's amazing how bullies cave when you face up to them isn't it? I laughed at the cat though. We used to have a half burmese that could climb just about anything and every now and then I would catch her looking thoughtfully up the chimney. We never had to be rescue her from the roof so I assume that she decided it wasn't worth it.1

Glad the move went smoothly. Your husband has finally realised that he needs help. However not sure it will make any difference but hopefully if he does find someone else from the dating apps he doesn’t treat them the way he’s treated you.1

So pleased to hear that everything went smoothly! It must have felt great to be able to tell your ex that it is no longer your responsibility to have those long searching conversations.
It sounds like your daughter is enjoying the new house and I hope you both continue to have a lovely Easter holiday1 -
Sounds like all went fairly smoothly (apart from cat) and glad ex is respecting the boundaries so far. Long may that last and look forward to your further updates as and when you can. So glad to hear you are both well and happy.
I hope ex is being serious and not trying to tug at your heart strings! Still, being pleasant at least will make co-parenting easier, and that'll be good for dd.
Have a lovely Easter.

Very glad to hear all is well and that the unpredicatable parts of ex's response were not immediately negative ones.
Looking forward to hearing more, especially how your daughter is settling in, when you have chance.0 -
