Considering switching to EE 4G Broadband due to the low speeds I’m getting with standard broadband from BT. Would appreciate the thoughts of anyone who has used the EE 4g broadband.

As long as you're not bothered about fluctuating speeds and less reliability than fixed line services then go for it.0

Also considering EE 4G Broadband in the Dorset area, does anyone have any personal experience of this service or advice on other options? Standard fibre cable connection is not an option in our rural area.0

I assume that you've checked here:

Also here (based on actual measurements):

Finally get a PAYG SIM on EE to check the actual data rate/signal strength at your location.
Dorset is a big place so perhaps a more specific location might help someone give you a better idea.

I took the plunge and signed up to EE's 4G broadband a few weeks ago. So far so good. Very pleased with it to date. Via our landline (rural Northern Ireland) I was getting 1mbps at best. Now with the 4G broadband I'm getting anything up to 70mbps. The speed does vary quite a bit but its usually above 20mbps and close to the router I'm getting the 70mbps at times.andy_dw said:Also considering EE 4G Broadband in the Dorset area, does anyone have any personal experience of this service or advice on other options? As we have thick walls I am using powerline adaptors to get the signal to all parts of the house. It works fine with the adaptors though with some speed loss but not to any great extent. So for the first time ever I'm able to stream films, sport and tv programs in general.0
