Has anyone tried a thermal pouch to prevent phone from overheating?

I'm looking for a way of preventing my phone from overheating when I'm outside (at the moment it frequently runs very hot, and often becomes completely unresponsive until it cools down - it's an LG V20). I was wondering whether anyone had tried a thermal pouch like this:

...or can recommend any other solutions?

I would be looking at getting it repaired because phones don't just overheat willy nilly. A "thermal pouch" whatever that is, isn't really the solution....

I think that's to protect from external sources of heat (like direct sunlight). For internal sources of heat it will make it worse as it will trap the heat.
Perhaps try and work out if any apps are running amok and using lots of electricity and ramping up the chips. Constantly running pedometers or something?

It looks easy to replace the battery. Though whether that is the problem.

Technically if you want to cool it you would need more ventilation, ie less cases, some sort of portable fans? Perhaps drill holes in the back case to let air through. Not practical though. Better to see if you can find out what is going on.

The battery is replaceable - I have 3 batteries for it (one of which is only a couple of months old) - it's the same for all of them. This is a known issue with the V20 (widely discussed on the XDA forums). Some people have opened up the phone and applied thermal paste to the processor. I don't fancy that much!
