Yes I saw this! Cost is by your post code area. I have just insured my home. I decided to go with NatWest and £120 cash back from Quidco (now tracked).

Spring begins on 21st March.0 -
Even with 50% off, the Tesco quote was £35 dearer than the Pru'.0

I have just got a quote on the tesco home insurance '50% off' deal. It came out at just about the same as I am currently paying with Churchill (around £500 pa), including the '50%' off! I phoned them to check it was right, and they confirmed that, without the discount the quote would be £1000. Seems to me that they are just inflating the original price, so that when they add in the discount, they are not losing money. Seems like a scam to me.0

Doubt it is a scam, as Martin has added it to his own section

This does not mean a thing. These last few daysI have been pulling my hair out trying to get a really competitive bldgs/contents insurance insurance. I had one saved with Tesco but they won't accept my login details but after reading the post above I won't bother pursuing it. Last night I was filling everything in on the USwitch site and the...last page... it said, sorry, there is a problem, try again later. Tried Prudential and it was very expensive. Think I'll stick with Saga @ £124 for buildings and contents except that their accidental damage re contents is a bit peculiar and I want to cover one item away from home. It is worth less than £1000 and therefore appears on their site to be covered but when confirmation came it's not so. This is one of those jobs I hate doing every year. Will now see what I can get through Quidco.0 -
I went all through the admin but when I pointed out I had some valuables I was told I would have to pay for an insurance assesor to review my property and have a safe installed permanently in the house. Save 50%, spend several hundred on building works! I don't think so.0

my car was the inncident of a hit and run yesterday' and after reporting this Nu insurers i was told although i have proteced no claims i will still be penalised. I was informed by 3 parties that the car would be wrote off. this is not a area that iam familiar with and also unsure on how a settlement figure would be figured as i have only had this car 4 months0
