Trying to work out how a courier loses a freezer.
There are some dodgy courier drivers around I suppose

Haha. We think that the box and label had come off it judging by the state of it when it arrived.

Don't now start a chargeback just leave your section 75 claim to run its course

When I lived in a flat, I had a fridge/freezer delivered. Waited in all morning, then had a phone call to say they'd tried to deliver but got no reply. Funny, I thought, and said I'll be here all day so if they come back again later I'll be in. Some time later, I spotted a delivery van sailing past on its way to a different block of flats. I rushed outside and ran to the other block, to find the delivery men unloading my fridge/freezer outside someone else's flat.

You won't be looking at S75 to start with. As there are chargeback rights.

    Who is the retailer?

I didn't know there was a set order to make a claim? Can I put a chargeback claim in now I already have a Section 75 submitted?
    The retailer was Power Direct.
Card provider will look at case and take the action required.
If Barclaycard are anything like us it could well be a good few weeks before they get round to working the case. Everyone is wanting their refunds and causing massive backlogs.

You could try ringing Barclaycard and asking.
Was the freezer supplied by Power Direct, or was it one of the "Direct Home Delivery Orders - Goods ordered and delivered to you directly by our Suppliers and Manufacturers"?

I've tried calling Barclaycard and been on hold everytime for between 1 1/2 hrs and 3 1/2 hrs (with no answer). I'm pretty sure that it was supplied by Power Direct. I didn't see any wording to say otherwise and they have a physical store, and so presumably a warehouse, in Yorkshire (nowhere near me).

If you do get a refund for the freezer,  would you want to keep it  the damaged one (if it works)  or because of the damage buy a replacement?

I'd be happy either way to be honest. I'd be happy with a partial refund/discount. I just don't want to pay full price for a damaged item.

I agree with your view, I am the same
Strangely enough I had the same problem with a freezer, but I came to an agreement with the retailer for a price reduction.
I think I would stick to the S75 as it's been actioned and use the freezer
With a Chargeback they might ask if it's been returned.
