NPE (National Parking Enforcement)

I was in the wrong space for just over 8 minutes. Can/should I appeal? Or just quote the IPC code of practice period of grace?
Please advise my best course of action. Thanks

Your best course of action is to read the NEWBIE sticky on the front of the forum just below where you clicked on NEW THREAD.
1. Is it a FINE or is it actually a Parking Charge Notice?
2. Where was the car park?
3. Multi-storey, retail outlet, hospital, supermarket3 -
Thanks I’ll have a look. It’s a PCN from the car park outside our local Co-op0

Anyone can issue you with an invoice , so from that viewpoint only , it's legit
So go with plan A , a landowner cancellation by the Co-op4 -
You needed to read (not 'have a look' at) the NEWBIES thread before posting. That's why it's there at the top!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD4 -
It is not a fine, it is an invoice from an ex-clamper to compensate them for the alleged harm they suffered when you did what you did. We call it a scam. Pay them not a penny unless a judge so orders it.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
Is there a template to complain to the Co op? I can’t find one on any of the threads
I can only find a template for appeal to NPE.0 -
No, you have to make one up yourself. This may help,

Just use your own words, you know what you want to complain about and what will happen if they do not cancel the PCN; you will no longer be a customer of Co-op and nor will you family and friends as you cannot afford to shop there if every shopping trip comes with a £100 surcharge.4

Thanks. Do I give them the pcn ref no with the initial complaint?
And then wait?0
