Sony mobile phone warranty

Hi,
I wonder if anyone on here can help me, I have had a Sony Xperia 1 for about 7 months and last month one day I noticed it was bent (curved from the top of the screen to the bottom) but I did not know how this had happened seeing as though the phone hasn't been dropped, there is on not a single mark on the phone and it is treated with the up most respect. I wear lose trousers daily and when in my pocket it is in my front right trouser pocket and take my phone out of my pocket when I'm working. I sent the phone away to Sony's repairer but they won't cover it under warranty even though there is no sign of misuse.
What can I do next to try ensure I can get this repaired under the warranty (as I did like the phone originally) and warn people about buying an expensive phone which can bend and will not be covered under warranty.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Alex

Warranty is subject to its terms and conditions and is not your Consumer Rights .What are Sony saying damage ??0

Sony have said that because it's physically damaged they class it as misuse on my behalf however this is not the case, I also feel an expensive phone made by a reputable company should not be able to bend under any circumstance and if its possible to be bent I should have been warned especially considering I have no knowledge or explanation as to how this happened.
Sony have quoted me for a replacement battery, replacement housing, replacement component and a replacement display.
Which to be totally honest isn't a bad price however I do not feel I should have to pay to get it repaired, it is a faulty product which should not have been sold to me with the capabilities to bend without a possible cause.
Thanks

You say its not damaged but Sony say it is via an engineers report.Unless you bought from Sony you have no comeback against them .As said warranty is an extra subject to Sony terms .Warranty is not your Consumer Rights against the vendor ( see sticky CR top of the page )You take it up with the vendor under CR , but they are within their rights after 6 months to ask you to prove your assertions .For that you would pay for an independent engineers report to validate your claims .0

AlexWell, it didn't bend out of shape on its own, so how is it faulty? And what is this magical substance that can't bend under any circumstances which you'd like phones to be made out of?
