Hi All,
To preface my post below, I am completely aware of the struggles that every business and person is facing in these difficult times. However, I am wondering what would be next course of action in my predicament.
I had my flight from Turkish Airlines cancelled by the airline.  At the time, they offered a refund which is what I chose to take. They said the refund would take approximately 30-60.  The 60 days will be up in the next couple of days.
I  have called Turkish Airlines Support and to be honest they said it will be refunded initially and then owned up that it will probably take longer.
I have confirmed emails stating the refund and the card that will be refunded.
The tickets cost just over £700.

Does anyone know what the next step might be since they have not gone out of business and have said they will refund but do not know when.  I think:
1. After the sixty days, I will put in a complaint that the refund has not been provided. - I'm not too hopeful for a response with so many things go on.
2. Does section 75 apply, contact credit card company?
3. CAA? can they help?
Thank you for your help in advance.  Any ideas?
Regards,

For obvious reasons refunds are taking a lot longer than normal.  The law says refund within 7 days for a cancelled flight, that said the law didn't envisage a near total shutdown of European aviation and social lockdown.  What you consider is acceptable to wait is up to you, if it helps you're not alone and it's by no means only Turkish Airlines.  To reply to your points:

    1)  Probably pointless.  The customer service teams are snowed under anyway, a complaint will just add extra workload and will be unlikely to expedite your refund
    2) Yes Section 75 applies.  The credit card company is jointly liable for the transaction.  They will likely try and tell you to wait for the airline, although it is your choice to raise a Section 75 if you wish, not theirs.  They may also be happy to do a chargeback in the first instance.
    3) Technically you could complain to the CAA as they in breach of the EU regs.  But as I said, most other airlines are too. Realistically the CAA wouldn't do anything and would likely tell you to contact the regulator in Turkey.

Thank you, appreciate your comments and views and mostly what I had assumed.  I guess I just needed to know if I was missing something.
