  • Will check.
  • The status is still OPEN on PE website.
The Driver has not received any letter in the post at his address. There has also been a change on his side. The driver is now the RK of the vehicle.
e.g. PE issued the fine to old RK in Jan. The RK changed in April.

    That's of no relevance.

At this rate, the car will be at the scrapyard long before I hear from them.

    Good evening.
    I am back.

PE have contacted DCBL ( Debt collection balliffs Ltd ) who have sent a letter to RK ( dated a week ago ) . PE did not send a letter to the driver although they acknowledged when the RK informed them who the driver was and where to contact him.

Should the RK resend the email to PE ?

Yes and tell them to call their dogs off as you know they only farm out weak cases to DCB Ltd and you won't be engaging with third parties.  You are not liable, have already provided the name and address of the driver and they need to send a new PCN to the driver to start the appeals process from scratch.

  • I re-read the letter and it seems the letter is dated beginning of August and not last week. But, I only received it two days ago.
    How crafty!
