Paying friend with Credit card via PayPal

Hi all,
Currently looking to purchase a car with my credit card which is 0% on all purchases for 18months with Barclaycard. Now my relative is selling his car and I would like to purchase but obviously I’m using a credit card to pay him.
I can pay for ‘Services and Goods’ via PayPal but that comes with a fee,
I can also select ‘Friends and Family’ which has no fee. But with all this I’m trying to understand if it will be classed as a ‘Cash Advance’ with Barclaycard if I use the ‘Friends and Family’ option?

I know this is best answered by my issuer but I’ve been on the phone for hours the last few days and cannot get through.
Has anyone had any experiences sending cash to a family member and was it a cash advance?
Thank you
Thank you

Why not do something such as paying for £10 of family members petrol on your card? That way, you have simply lent them a tenner...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I believe PayPal charge a fee for any credit card payment, even friends and family.0

I meant to pay for the fuel using the credit card...so no fees...and then ask your friend to repay you the tenner, whenever they have it availableI work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I have used Friends and Family to send money with my credit card. I have not been charged a fee by either Paypal or my card company (and I received points on my card too)1

I've sent money via PayPal to friends using my credit card and neither me nor the recipient have been charged any fees or interest either by PayPal or the credit card.

Maybe they just let it go if it's a small amount, but for a purchase like a car of a higher value it might raise some internal flags with the Card company?0
