    After some nagging from me a family member opened a Ford one year fixed isa yesterday . Just in time !

    Probably just a pause before offering accounts at a lower rate. Marcus has pulled its fixed rate accounts also.
    Luckily I opened a 1 year fix with Ford Money yesterday.

    One body of opinion actually predicts a surge in car buying ( not all new of course ) from people moving away from public transport . In fact the Govt is worried about increased traffic congestion , when the economy revives, for this reason.

    The way things are looking, they will probably be a surge in handing cars back and saying they can`t afford PCP payments.
