Tui automated message

I’m currently an hour & 20 minutes into an ‘on hold call’ to Tui to request a refund rather than use their credit note.
Part of the automated message states ‘ if you were booked to travel before 13th April and booked online, we’re automatically sending your refund back via your original payment method’ I really don’t understand why this can’t happen for all bookings made online, it would save a lot of phone calls. I’m still waiting because I was due to go on 12th May!

I was on hold 50 mins yesterday. Now you are in the queue you may as well stay in it.

No idea why this needed a new thread though when there is already an absolutely huge TUI one.

i cant even go on hold it just say they are busy and line cuts off

I received the updated message from Tui yesterday re their new online method of requesting refunds (only for those who booked online and you do need to have your refund credit code to hand) After weeks of trying to get through and hours 'on hold', I completed the online 'refund request form' in a matter of minutes. I received immediate confirmation that my refund would be back in my account within 4 weeks.
A very simple process that would have saved a lot of anguish for customers and Tui staff had this been put in place from the outset.
