Ocado - Extremely Clinically Vulnerable and TOTALLY IGNORED

Why would it upset people?
Although the report does not actually say if they were breaching the act or not. Just that the claimants claimed they were and that Tesco have added them to the list anyway.

I understand your frustration, but in case you haven’t noticed, the country is going through an emergency such as we haven’t seen in over seventy years, and systems everywhere are creaking at the seams or breaking. It’s unfortunate that Ocado have slipped up, but it happens. You don’t have to have Waitrose food, any supermarket will do, so rather than making everyone’s life just that little bit harder when everyone is trying their best, use one of the other delivery services, or ask a neighbour or a friend to do some shopping for you.3

Exactly, would have been easier for Tesco to just add these people to the list than to try and fight an expensive and time consuming case when their resources could be put to better use given the pandemic!sharpe106 said:Why would it upset people?

You’re coming across a bit, well, Hyacinth Bucket at this point. No, they aren’t breaching the equality act, but I think that I may be getting a flavour of why they’ve decided to shuffle you back in the queue a bit.lemonreptile said:Here you go ..... thanks for any positive support. Yup. Kindness and toleration works both ways.John_ said:

Really, none of that ever occurred to us. We've actually been eating chunks of old cardboard. 🙄John_ said:I understand your frustration, but in case you haven’t noticed, the country is going through an emergency such as we haven’t seen in over seventy years, and systems everywhere are creaking at the seams or breaking. If it is not working with one on-line supermarket, try another. Waiting for the MP to get involved is going to be a slow process.
My Mum got the shielding letter and she registered with Tesco. Although there were no normal slots available, Tesco referenced her against the extremely vulnerable group list they have from NHS and that gives her access to a different batch of delivery slots. She gets deliveries easily when she want and not needing massive notice.2 -
Out of interest, are you this condescending in real life? If you are I assume you have regular problems yourself.John_ said:I understand your frustration, but in case you haven’t noticed, the country is going through an emergency such as we haven’t seen in over seventy years, and systems everywhere are creaking at the seams or breaking. The wording "Tesco has now agreed..." should be quite telling to you, courts don't ask if you'll do something, they order you. As is the fact that, as reported elsewhere, "...a letter before action was sent to Tesco on Wednesday". So no, they're not breaching anything so far based on that article.lemonreptile said:Here you go ..... thanks for any positive support.
